“Tree Spirit” is a short animated documentary film on the planetary ecological crisis and the possibility of human extinction with world renowned scholar Noam Chomsky.

When I decided to contacted Professor Chomsky to interview him, my goal was to better understand Canada’s environmental climate and neoliberal programme, Canada’s Tar Sands, as well as the methods, or perhaps the political framework for civil resistance. Film director Reed Rickert was the cinematographer for the interview I directed and performed with Noam Chomsky at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge in May of 2013.  ​
