The best thing about being vegan is what you get to eat!

Tell me what you eat…I will tell you who you are.

I have been vegan for almost 2 years now.  This transition has been mostly natural and easy for me. I was already avoiding dairy. And, I had been vegetarian for the last 5 years, since I did my yoga teacher training in Rishikesh, India, in the fall of 2013.  I also had been exploring vegetarian and vegan lifestyles on and off for over ten years. Becoming vegan was a personal commitment that had everything to do with developing a more sustainable relationship to my Mother Earth (ME), for environmental and ethical reasons, as well as for spiritual reasons. The health of the Earth is really at the core of a deep eco-spirituality.  I love being vegan! I love it so much!!  I love it with a passion.  Some of you may well have firsthand experienced the militant extremism of many vegans.   I hope that I am not one of them.  I just know what veganism is for me. That it’s the best thing that has ever happened to me, with my privileged cannabis consumption of course. Canadian cannabis culture is extraordinary, especially on the West Coast.  In all honesty, I have never seen anything like it.   If it wasn't for the fact that Canada has the worst environmental performance in the western world, and a horrible historical record of indigenous abuse that continues today, I would consider having pride in my nationality.

I have to say that I really don't miss eating meat or dairy products at all!  After a while of not eating those foods, they become nasty.  I not only have stopped craving them, but in fact I don’t want to eat them at all! Cheese for example creates excessive mucus in your body.  And should definitely be avoided if your sick. Non-organic dairy products and the meat industry are some of the worst industries when it comes to your health and the environment. In the last decade, during the periods in which I was vegetarian or a meat eater, I consumed organic dairy and consciously raised meat products. You literally are what you eat.

Now, fish has micro plastic.  That means that when you eat fish, you are basically forcing your body to process, because of course it cannot digest, minuscule pieces of plastic. I honestly don’t know how that can be appetizing to anybody in their right mind.  That’s apart from all the mercury in the fish, and of course the fact that there will be no more fish in the ocean in 15-20 years.  Maybe the vegan lifestyle is easy for me because I have become knowledgeable, as well as clear on the fundamental meaning, or to say things how they are, the Real violence that is entrenched in the consumption of such nasty foods.   The best thing about being vegan is what you get to eat! I have become so much more creative in my food consumption and food making processes. I also discovered that as a vegan I taste and enjoy my food way more.  I feel as though I just eat the best of everything. Homemade vegan chocolate is the easiest and the best! As a vegan I demonstrate my commitment to an ecologically sustainable world.  I am proudly engaged in a more sustainable relationship to Mother Earth (ME).  I feel more excited about my health and the preparation of food than ever before.

For those of you thinking about exploring veganism, it is important to learn as much as possible on how to be a healthy vegan.  Being B12 deficient is a serious matter, and it is quite common for ill-informed vegans, as well as for many busy vegetarians, and unhealthy meat eaters.  After a year, new vegans will start having serious deficiencies if they are not taking B12 supplements or consuming the appropriate quantity of B12 in foods.  It only took a few days of starting to take a B12 liquid supplement to see a radical difference in my mood. I also started taking Udo oil. This oil is not only delicious, but it is also a day’s necessary Omega 3-6-9. Adding B12 and Udo oil to my vegan diet has drastically change my ability to cope with the stress of major transitions that are part of life.  I have started adding chlorella which is 100% B12 in my morning breakfast smoothie, which is often composed of banana, cacao, hazel nuts or cachou, and maple syrup, all organic of course.   Since the world is going through spiritual transitions of mythical proportions, I suspect I am not alone in needing some brain food to ground the f**k down.

No more trees to climb on

"Honey, I think I am staying. Your so far away.  But maybe this is a good time for me to say.  [...] No more trees to climb on.  [...] And her voice whispers: All you need to have is in my arms. [...] You don't need all that.  Just come back down. [...] Just come back home. Just come back home.  Just come back home."

From the song "Come Back Down" (feat. Joshua James) written by Jonathan Dagan on the album Om Yoga Vol 2 Modern Music for Vinyasa.  The entire album is lovely!

Did Trump take LSD? Or was he abducted by aliens?

Something is definitely up with President Trump...The man is actually making sense on U.S. gun control policy, breaking from the Republican agenda, and the NRA...I say he was either given a good dose of LSD, in which case his ego was shattered and this has allowed him to feel emotions emerging from his heart, or he was recently abducted by the greys or another alien species...people don't just change positions like that over night.

My artwork, experimental films, and scholarly reflections emerge from a deep curiosity and fascination with the boundlessness of the human spirit, the limitlessness of the cosmic universe, the mythological, the spiritual, the exploration of my EARTH LIGHT body which emanates from infinity (this is the realm of the MYSTERY, the wildest imagination), as well as a real concern for our beautiful planet MOTHER EARTH.  The premise of this heuristic body of work is that the current planetary crises are crises in human consciousness, crises of the humanity group soul/spirit. As an environmental advocate and consciousness activist, my work intends to intentionally participate in redesigning culture, the intentional participation in designing a post-growth ecological culture (this is the creative process of redesigning culture) for an ecologically sustainable and spiritually thriving planetary future. My intention is to shed light on the sacred multidimensional ways in which we potentiate the power of our consciousness. This body of work is a prayer to humanity to align our mind and hearts, to raise the power of our hearts, to develop methods and technologies to go inward towards the complexities and awareness of our individual connection to Source We are the Rainbow Warriors.  If the world is indeed participatory, we manifest/dream this world into existence. Indeed, dear friends... a colourful future is ours to create!
